One way to reduce the amount of chlorine in your shower filter is by using shower filters. In addition, they remove synthetic chemicals and VOC's from shower water. One great thing about shower filters is that they are not hard to connect. Simply put the filter on the output of your shower faucet. They function well even up to high temperatures. Each individual filter model has a different limit, but most will continue filtering out undesirable chemicals at temperatures up to 115 degrees. You do not have to spend a lot on your filter, but it will make your showers better and more enjoyable.

There are not a lot of individuals who know how dangerous shower water chemicals can be. Chlorine is particularly damaging to the respiratory system. When heated water containing chlorine comes out of your shower, some of the water vaporizes and turns to steam. The chemical structure of chlorine, however, makes it vaporize much faster. This means that you may inhale a lot of chlorine while showering. That can lead to serious problems for a person with breathing problems, such as asthma. The pores take in chlorine during a shower as well, which can lead to skin problems.

The skin and hair are open to damage from substances LA times such as chlorine. This makes shower filters more widely used. After you start using your shower filter, you will begin seeing a marked difference in the way the water affects your hair and skin. This is because chlorine removes important natural oils that your body needs to keep its moisture. Having a filter on your shower will also lead to savings on skin oils and hair products since you will not need to use them as much as before you had a filter.

There are two stages that water is put through in a filter in order to remove chemicals. An apparatus made of zinc or copper is used first. That is how pH levels are balanced and chlorine is removed. Then the water is sent through the second cycle, in which it goes through a coconut shell filter that has been carbonized. That takes out unnatural chemicals and VOC's.

People do not drink low quality showerhead filter water that is full of harmful chemicals. It is also highly important to be cautious with the quality of shower water. You can protect yourself and your loved ones from health and cosmetic problems caused by chemicals, chlorine, and VOC's by using shower filters in your home.

Great post. The 2-stage KDF\Coconut Shell filtration you describe is actually used in the Aquasana Water Filter. Great Product! I installed one myself a few months ago.
